Founded in 1979, we are a medium-sized, growth-oriented publishing company providing a national, weekly business-to-business trade publication on retail real estate. We report on new retail concepts, shopping centers under construction, financing, acquisition of shopping centers and trends in the retail real estate industry. We have a paid circulation, and we sell ad space. We also publish a directory of retail chains, TenantSearch, and moderate 12 email forums on commercial real estate, generating 60 million emails annually and host web sites.
We are located in the Princeton, NJ area, with easy access from Rte. 1, 295 and I-95.
Responsibilities: Originate story ideas and create new editorial concepts. Edit weekly news and marketing materials for accuracy, language, grammar, and style. Write weekly news and marketing materials. Review publication in preparation for print, including proofreading copy and graphics. Work on multiple projects simultaneously under firm deadlines. Interface with art department. Attend trade show events. Work closely with both the editorial and directory teams to maintain consistency across the website and the publication. Keep track of schedules and deadlines, and help drive projects to completion.
Requirements:
2-3 years of full-time editorial experience for a newspaper and/or trade publication.
Proficiency in MS Word. Understanding of graphic/page layout software a plus.
Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
