As a broadcast major, I never really looked into magazine internships until I met the beauty editor for Teen Vogue who asked me if I would be interested in interning at Teen Vogue in the summer. When my summer school got in the way, I was really bummed at the incredible lost opportunity. I started looking into magazine internships though and found Ed2010. I came across a perfect opportunity at Marie Claire for a features winter internship - something I would never even have considered applying for before. I applied, completed an edit test and two phone interviews and landed the position! A month later, I had the privilege of writing two
separate pieces and came out with two bylines - something unheard of for an intern - especially for having been there for only five weeks. The internship and bylines have done wonders for my resume and it catches employers’ attention right away! Thanks Ed for the best five weeks of my life!
