I graduated in May 2009 and landed an editorial assistant position at a national magazine a few weeks later. A billion thanks to Chandra and the Ed2010 community - and here’s why. Two of my internships came from WhisperJobs, I attended last year’s Kick-A** intern panel, did a one-on-one resume critique, and attended the Ed2010 conference. All the advice from the conference was spot on - I contacted HR reps and did several informationals the week I graduated. My resume was passed on to the executive editor, and I was called in for an interview. While working on my edit test, I realized that I had met someone on staff during the Ed conference, so I shot her a quick e-mail saying hi. Thank God for the edit test class I took during the conference, since the editor liked my test and I got the job! Ed, thank you so much for everything!
