Ed,
I just want to say thank you for your role in landing me my second job
in magazine journalism—which also happens to be the second job
that I’ve landed in the past several years thanks to an Ed tip.
I first discovered Ed2010 at the end my senior year of college. Even
before I ever signed up for the e-newsletter, I scanned the Whisper
Jobs board on your Web site—and, there it was, my ideal entry-level
job, just posted on Ed’s site a few days before. I applied for
the position—an associate editor level job based in Atlanta—and
was offered and accepted it about a month later. I promptly signed up
for your e-newsletter and have been spreading the Ed gospel ever since.
Fast-forward to two years later, when I’m looking for my second
job in magazine journalism. Where do I turn? To Ed, of course. This
time it takes a little while longer, but, lo and behold, about three
months later, openings are advertised at an L.A.-based magazine company,
and I submit my clips and resume. Within about a month and a half, I’ve
accepted my second magazine job—a senior editor position at a
great trade magazine company.
Thank you so much for all your help, Ed! I’m really looking forward
to spending my days at the beaches in California—and to mingling
at the next L.A. Ed party!
