I graduated in December into what has constantly been described as "the
worst job slump in recent history." Definitely not encouraging, but
then I saw an ad for an editorial internship on your site. It was for
an electronics magazine, and even though it wasn't the type of
publication I was really interested in, the job was paid and in New
York, so I sent in my resume. A week later, I went in for an interview
and was hired the very next day.
And it gets better—a month after I started my internship, I was offered
a full-time position as an assistant editor. I accepted the job and
have since been learning more about Palm Pilots and MP3 players than
most people ever will in their lifetime.
