Ed on Campus

SUCCESS STORY

Kourtney Jason

My magazine dreams started coming true on my final day of being a college student when two Seventeen editors offered me a spring semester internship in the features department. I had only applied for the internship two days prior when I saw the ad on my favorite website, Ed2010.com. I applied for it in the middle of my finals week and about 30 minutes later I was on a phone interview. I packed up two suitcases and in a hop, skip and a flight, I was no longer in California.

Trust Fund Testimonials

With their internships now over, Ed’s two summer 2007 Trust Fund winners—Esquire’s Julie Vadnal and Lucky’s Maniezheh Firouzi—reveal why the cool grand they both got helped them out so much.

Says Julie:
“The Trust Fund is what Ed2010 is all about—helping young editors get ahead in this business. As an unpaid intern this summer, $1,000 was the validation I needed to graduate from ramen to Cup-a-Soup.

Dear Ed,

I want to thank you for helping me to land my new job! I was just accepted to Random House’s Associates Program, and there is no way that I would have landed it without your countless tips and resources. Notably, my editorial internship at Redbook that I found from your postings last summer helped me develop my writing skills. I also got a ton of practice in juggling several tasks at once. Also, your email formats and insider advice certainly didn’t hurt.

Thanks Ed!!!!
