Hi, I’m doing a winter/spring internship (jan-may) next year in New York City and need housing help. I would like to hear from the ed2010 community suggestion on where to stay or where not to stay on a tight budget. Why or why didn’t you like it. Please include places that provide a meal plan.
I would like to thank you in advance for your input and suggestions.

i agree with the above
i agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

Thanks!
Thank your for all your suggestions. I really appreciate it!

Check out some past posts on this board - people talk about this issue every summer and the same 4 or 5 good options are always talked about. It may be harder for you since you probably won’t be able to get housing at a college during the spring semester, but there are some places like the Webster apartments people usually bring up. Your best bet may be to troll Craigslist.
Any Suggestions?
Any suggestions on places to stay in New York?
New Jersey
If anyone know places in New Jersey where I can easily commute to New York, that would be helpful too. Thanks.

Places in NJ
If by train, Newark is perfect to get into New York because the city has its own train station. Secaucus, New Brunswick, Trenton, Elizabeth, Linden, and Princeton are also good starts to. Check NJ transit website.
