I haven’t made it to this point yet - but has anybody else? If so, what’s the protocol? In this economy (ugh, cliche about now, right?) - have your editors understood when you left for a salaried job with healthcare, dental, etc.?
Editors - how would you feel if an intern left his/her post before the internship was up? Would you hold it against him/her?

i agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

They'll most likely understand...
I recently was in that position, and was so nervous about letting my editors know. They were totally OK with it, and understood in the economy how valuable it is to be working with benefits, etc. But also, if they were in your shoes I’m sure they’d do the same.
