22-yr-old Female looking for roommate(s)/place to live!

Hello! I’m a recent college graduate who just moved to the NYC area from the Chicago area. I lived in a EHS student housing building for the month of May to get settled here, but I’m looking to move out of the dorms and live in an apartment with a roommate relatively soon. I’m clean, considerate, quiet, and spend too much money on dining out and clothes so I’d have to live someplace within my means (eek!). I’m learning to become frugal living in the city, though!

Let me know if you’re interested!

3 Br available

I’m not looking to move, but heard about an apartment opening up and thought I’d let you know.

3br in Park Slope, Brooklyn for $2,000/month. Rooftop access. Views of Manhattan. All bedrooms have windows and closets. Directly above a laundromat, close to gym/all natural deli/grocery store/everything else you need. Two short blocks to the F/M/R trains (two stops from Atlantic-Pacific, where you can transfer to just about anything, including LIRR). 7th st & 4th Ave.

I don’t know much else. I was at the laundromat and the owner of the building mentioned to me that he has an apartment available upstairs. Seems like a nice guy, willing to do work on the apartment (said he’d paint it any color you wish, and when I asked if there was a dishwasher, he said he’d put one in if the tenants asked for it).

It’s a great area and sounds like a good deal. If you’re interested, you should stop by the laundromat and ask about the apartment.

here’s the info:

A sublet is available on 101st St and First Ave in Manhattan. The sublet runs from July 1-October 31, with the option of staying and signing the lease with us come November. It is a great three bedroom/1.5 bathroom apartment with a full living room, balcony overlooking the East River and a kitchen/dining area with a dishwasher! Apartment also features hardwood flooring in common areas, lots of closet space, and Washer/Dryer downstairs in building.

The room being sublet is a single bedroom with a full closet and a big window. Room is 10’ by 15’, though somewhat oddly shaped so you’ll have something like 9’ x 9’ of open space. It’s fully carpeted, with heat/AC. If you want it, room will come FURNISHED with a twin-sized bed, a desk, a desk chair, and curtains all for just $60 extra.
Rent is $825 and includes utilities. We each pay about $40 a month for cable/internet.
You would live with two professional females in their mid-20s. We are clean, responsible and fun…looking for the same in a roommate!
