I got an e-mail from Lauren at Teen Vogue to set up an interview for a summer internship, but I’m pretty nervous about what questions they’re gonna ask me. Also, does anyone know what positions are even left?!

My interview is tomorrow at 2:30 (eastern time). So ANYTHING you can tell me before then will be greatly appreciated!!

Congrats on getting an interview! Big accomplishment already!

So since you’re interviewing with Lauren, I take that it’s an internship with Fashion Features? Honestly, when I was being interviewed for my Teen Vogue Web Dept. internship, I was asked very FEW questions. Michael, the online producer, basically just went over the job description and asked me if I would be able to receive credit (which is a MUST) and whether or not I knew programs, etc. So you’ll just be asked vague questions like: “Where do yo see yourself in 5 years”, “what are your strengths/weaknesses/experience”, “why work for Teen Vogue” and of course, questions related to fashion, so have some favourite designers ready!

I know that probably wasn’t helpful but just prepare for some typical questions and really understand what the Fashion Features Dept. does and how you will be able to assist them with your past experience. Most importantly, be yourself and just show that you’re really enthusiastic about the opportunity! Best of luck to you! And if you get it, be sure to announce it so we can meet up during lunch or something!
