I am a college student trying to move to the city (NY) from White Plains (not sublet..but long-term)..After looking for a place for months and months I can not find anything that is not a *scam or anything that is *affordable. Unfortunately the commute is getting costly to go to internships and other things in the city and it takes a long time.
Everything on craigslist seems like a scam so I do not even want to look on there anymore, although some people say they have found good deals there.
I know that I need a roommate but I do not want to room with anybody that just does anything because I am very mature and professional for my age and want to find the same.
Can anyone tell me where to find some apts. for under $1000 or possible roommate options?
