I have a great room available asap in the East Village for $1140. The prewar apt has access to the backyard and exposed-brick walls in the living room and kitchen. Room is unfurnished but the apt has everything else: big flat-screen TV, washer/dryer, dishwasher… There are 3 bedrooms; one is in the basement, other 2 on the first floor. 1.5 baths. Roomates are very considerate, nice, fun, working, 20-something females. The room itself is spacious with windows and a good-size closet. Quiet, safe street (11th St.), with tons of bars and restos on Aves B and C, + easy access to buses and subways. Utilities (heat, wifi, cable with dvr, hbo, etc) range from $60-150 (when it gets really cold out) + we have a cleaning lady come every other week for $33.
