So it seems that nearly every internship that’s been posted recently is “for academic credit only.” Like many of you, I am not in school anymore and still want another internship! What kind of spin should I put on my cover letter to make the employers consider hiring me anyways?? Has this worked for anyone??

A lot of places are really cracking down on credit. I used to accept a letter of support, but HR won’t take that anymore, so credit is necessary. I think you’re going to have a tough time finding a noncredit internship at a major publishing house. Maybe try a smaller publisher?
