Ahhh!! I’m so excited…I’m interviewing with Betsy Mullinix at Seventeen in early January for a summer fashion internship. Has anyone interviewed with Betsy (or at Seventeen in general)? Any tips? I’ve never had an interview at a big-time mag and I’ve also never had an interview for a position in fashion, so I’m super nervous! Any advice would be appreciated :)

If you haven’t interviewed yet, don’t worry. I interned at Seventeen last summer and I LOVED it. Everyone is really nice, and as long as you think about your answers to the standard interview questions beforehand, you’ll be fine. Good luck!

I saw an Ed2010 posting for a Spring 2009 fashion internship at Seventeen, but I emailed the contact given about a Summer 2009 internship. She replied saying she would like to meet with me in January. How about you? Any phone interviews before?

hey, same here! i saw a posting for a fall 2008 art internship at Seventeen and emailed the contact about a summer 09 internship. she asked to see my stuff (portfolio, resume), and then after that asked when i’d be available to come in for an interview in NY. and now i’m able to! i’m headed up there next weekend!!! :)
