Hey Everyone-
So I’ve been really lucky these past few weeks when it comes to my internship search for January. Four different mags are offering me the position (internship) but I can only accept one bc I have to work, too. So, how do I say, “thanks but no thanks” in a way that if I want to go back to them in a couple months for a position they don’t look at my resume, roll their eyes and say, “She had her chance a few months ago— recycle!”
I’ve had internships before, but I’ve never been offered more than one at a time, so any and all advice would be really great. Thanks so much!

Just be honest
JUST BE HONEST!
In this industry, so many people beat around the bush and smile through their teeth, so honesty will be a refreshing treat to your interviewer. Say that you have had multiple Internship opportunities and after hearing back from all of them, you had to sit down and make a difficult decision based on your academic and working schedule. Tell them it was so great meeting with them and that you are looking forward to speaking with them again in the future. And most importantly, let them know that you greatly appreciate their offer
Be honest and be sincere. This isn’t for a job, it’s for an Internship. These editors understand that students are still jumping around and trying to figure out where they want to be after they graduate.
Hope this helps and congrats on getting so many Internships!
