I’ve noticed a pattern that when magazines are in trouble/about to fold, they keep re-posting listings for the same jobs on various websites, editors become impossible to reach by phone, and no one gets interviewed for any of the “open” positions. That seems to be what’s happening at Prevention… Do you think they’re about to fold and/or are in trouble? I hope that’s not the case, because I really do love that magazine.
Prevention is one of Rodale’s cash cows. It is not even close to folding. As I said earlier, Rodale HR is SLOW. They won’t hire anybody for at least a month.
from my communications with them, they’ve had more applicants than they know what to do with. that’s weird that they keep posting the same ad up after having collected so many apps!
I was just in touch with someone there and found out that they haven’t decided who to interview yet, or how many people to interview at that. There’s still hope!

The hiring process at Rodale takes eons compared to other companies. It will probably be at least a month before they hire someone.
