is it absolutely inappropriate to contact someone at a magazine you’re interested in working/interning @, just to ask a little bit of information. An editorial assistant specifically, not an editor or higher.

As an EA, I’d be really creeped out if someone contacted me via Facebook about a job. It’s not that hard to figure out an email address… that’s a much better approach. I’d never answer a random Facebook message but I totally answer cold emails. A Facebook message is just too intrusive.
