i work on the beauty side of PR and i’ve seen people flip flop back and forth and i don’t think there are any real backlash or negative feedback. i think since pr people and editors have relationships it is not so weird to see people go in between positions. just an observation…
Depending on the type of editor you were, it can be very hard to come back…and I imagine difficult. It’s a total role reversal. I know a few editors that have done so, but as a whole they say it’s often frowned upon (if you ever want to go back),
can you elaborate more on this? i’ve been applying to both magazines and PR firms… i feel like i can do both, but i’d like your opinion on how they’re different/frowned upon!
