I recently received a promotion from EA to assistant editor. How do I indicate on my resume that I received a promotion within the same magazine? I’m assuming I don’t create different lines for EA and my new position. Help!

Congratulations!
Put EA towards the bottom section w/yr duties there, then list AE with present duties, and make sure you put the months you were an EA and the month you became an AE w/”present”.
Good Luck!

Which magazine...
I’m just wondering which magazine you work at and if your previous position as an EA is available. I’m very qualified to be an EA but I haven’t found anything permanent yet. Please email me, if you can, if there are any positions open where you work. Thanks so much.

My duties after my promotion
My duties after my promotion were so different from my mostly administrative duties as an EA that I made a separate listing for both positions and just put all new tasks under the new job without repeating (I still help with writing captions, but the listing under the AE position just talks about getting to write a feature story) and that seemed to work fine. I think it’s better for me that way because it highlights the most recent work I’ve done that is also the most prestigious work I’ve done, without making the description under any one title really long.
