Has anyone eaten at both the Hearst cafeteria and the Conde Nast cafeteria? How do they compare? I’ve heard that Conde has the best cafeteria ever, but I’ve never been there. However, I’m quite familiar with the Hearst cafeteria and I’d say it’s pretty damn good as far as cafeterias go. And people have been talking a lot of smack about it to me lately. So I’m wondering if anyone can give me a comparison. What makes Conde’s cafe so great? Just curious…

I think Conde Nast has better food, but Hearst has the better space. There’s not enough room at Conde and it’s too dark.

Hearst, hands down. At Conde Nast, I really love their stir fry - but that’s about it. Hearst is more spacious, everything is fresh, and it doesn’t give the impression that you’re rushed and have to get back to work!

they are very similar, but hearst’s caf is better. i used to work at hearst and i loved their caf- better sandwiches, salads, hot items, nice big windows and light. i have worked at conde for the past 2 years and it’s pretty blah. they have good sushi on monday and fridays, but other than that its the same oily cold salads, oily pasta, and boring sandwiches. they need to step it up a bit…

I agree, Hearst is the best! And the food is way cheaper than anywhere else in that area, and just as good, if not better! Plus the waterfall is so calming to look at. It’s so serene. They have tons of food choices too. I can get a huge lunch for about $7.
