hey, i applied for the GQ paid summer internship position a week ago or so, after i’d heard about it. has anyone else appllied/heard back/interviewed? this would be awesome to get, and i’m already interning at another conde mag so i think i have something of a shot

I haven’t heard anything
I haven’t heard anything back either—i thought my interview went really well, and i sent follow-up emails/letters, but no response. i assume i didn’t get it, and i guess they aren’t letting people know that. either way it left me with a bad taste in my mouth for the magazine as a whole—the overly intense interviews, the ignored emails, etc. plus from what i’ve heard from my CN bosses, it’s not the best place to work.
GQ is playing with my mind
I interviewed and it went great. I sent my follow ups, emailed to see when i would be hearing back and was told i would hear last week and havent heard anything. this is my dream and its fading away i think, i dont know what to do. would they tell me if i didnt get it? or just if i did? any new news anyone?
yeah, i’ve since
yeah, i’ve since interviewed once, last week. haven’t heard back, but two of my current conde bosses put in good words for me leading up to the interview, and the interview itself went well (probably the most intense i have had though). i actually interviewed with two people on the day i interviewed, and it took like 45 mins, which surprised me. they were both really cool/nice.
Invterviews are done
I applied and had two interviews already; they’re getting back to the finalists in the next week or so.
