Hi Edsters!
Just wondering if anyone else has applied to any of the NYC-based summer internship programs? My apps are in at Time-Warner, ASME, Conde Nast, and Meredith.
For those of you that have been through one of these programs before: how was your experience?
Also, any other first-timers planning to work in NYC this summer? I cant wait. :)
Good luck to all!
Same I love Teen Vogue! But
Same I love Teen Vogue! But then again, I love like a million different titles and have about 10 subscriptions :). I applied for CondeNast but the options in the application didn’t really allow me to specify editorial as opposed to working in the fashion closet(which I would do in a heart beat anyway!) or in beauty and my experience speaks more to fashion and music editorial and not styling. I guess we can only hope for the best. The app was due Feb 15 so I wouldn’t expect to hear anything for some time.
Good luck everybody!

have u heard anything back
have u heard anything back from any the programs yet?? I applied for most of the same ones as you did and i am ready to know if i got any yet??? But hopefully well both be in Ny this summer…Good Luck!!
Most Definately
I would absolutely LOVE to intern with Teen Vogue. In addition, I believe I would be a great help with my dedication to perfection and crucial attendence. Everyday is a fashion show for me from makeup to clothes. Not only I adore teen vogue and all the styles out there I look to mix and match my own. Absorbing other styles help personalize my own. Interning for Teen Vogue would be amazing.
Re: NYC Summer Intern Programs
Hey there!
Last summer I was an ASME intern and the experience definitely changed my life! It not only gave me the opportunity to gain experience at a wonderful magazine, but it also gave me the opportunity to meet and live with other ASME interns who were from all over the nation. The weekly ASME workshops were also amazing. We were able to network with several editors from different magazines in the city. The ASME coordinators were very supportive as well. And of course living in NYC was the best!
good luck to you : )
