Hi I’m looking to move to NY by the beginning of next month, my dates are flexible. I see people post similar topics frequently, not sure whether or not there have been any success stories, but I am definitely open to the possibility of considering a roommate this way. The heavy-hitter books have already been mentioned — Los Angeles Magazine, Angeleno, etc. LA does however have a lot of opportunity on line, metromix for instance. You might want to even look at la.com

I totally understand your being overwhelmed
I’m currently in LA and it seems that there aren’t many opportunities in fashion writing on the west coast. Did you find that to be a problem for you? I know I’m going to be moving back to the east coast as soon as my lease is up, since I’m originally from CT but if anybody knows of anything out on the west coast for fashion editing/writing, let me know.

When I moved from California to Florida I was so overwhelmed with packing and getting my stuff there until my friend recommend getting a relocation service. Best idea ever! my stuff got there the same day I did and it was way cheaper then renting a truck! Just dont stress!!
I guess my price range is
I guess my price range is from $800-$1,500. I would prefer a furnished apartment just because I don’t want to spend alot of money shipping everything out there or buying and paying for shipping in the city. But I’m sure we could work something out. I plan on living in the city for a year or two and then we’ll see what happens!
I don’t have to live in the city, but it would be nice because that’s where my job is. But I’m open for anything.

I’m also moving to NYC, but from Minnesota on Feb. 4th and looking for a roommate to cut down on costs. I’m 25 and will be relocating for work as an art director for a magazine. I’ve been checking out craigslist, but there are so many posts that it’s hard to actually find a decent apartment.
Let me know if you’re interested!! I want to find someplace soon. I’m going to be crashing on my friends couch until i can find a place.

Well i’m going to be interning in Times Square, I don’t need to be living right next door or anything - so I don’t mind looking at Brooklyn or Queens?!?!?!<——— they just came to mind. I’m student so anything thats cheap makes me happy. I’m not too sure what the pricing like? Whats your budget like?
So i arrive next weekend on the 27th and start my internship the next day (28th) will you be here by then? Any time that week will be fine.
