MTV has a program that’s kind of similar. I applied (didnt get it) but know tons of people who did it. Its a summer work placement after college without guarantee of a job, but they basically place everyone at the end of the summer…and you work through a lot of Viacom’s companies, not just MTV.

a friend of mine did the program this summer and only one person got an actual job. mtv’s hiring freeze made it difficult. a bunch of people got some freelance gigs, but it’s not really a guaranteed job anymore, not like they make it seem anyway. a lot of people did not get placed anywhere.

Only thing is, you’re supposed to submit online for the first part of the application process, but the program isn’t listed in the job listings so how do you do so? Did you see a job listing for it on their website, likeitsgolden? I saw a call for interns, but no trainees.

Never heard back, but...
I applied and never heard anything back, so I don’t have much insight into that. Since CNN is headquartered in Atlanta, that’s where all of the T3 positions are located. It seems to be a really great program. There are also opportunities available with the Atlanta Braves for anyone thinking of going in the PR direction. The program is similar to T3.
