Hey guys,
I just recently sent out e-mails to a few people at a local magazine to inquiry about a Winter or Summer internship. I finally got a response back from one of the editors and she asked me for my exact availability for Winter break. I thought this was a great sign…and being as though I am in desperate need of an internship, this would be perfect. I sent her my dates a week ago, but haven’t heard anything. I’ve tried to be patient but I’m only home for a month and I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity. Do I e-mail her again (and if so, saying what without sounding annoying) or should I just wait it out a few more days?

You have got to e-mail every.week. if you’re dealing with editors and assistants at major publications. They are very busy and it takes a few times for them to notice an e-mail. The only way I got my internship interviews and jobs were because I followed-up quick and frequently, whether or not I got a reply back. It sounds crazy and its hard to do but how bad to you want it?
