ESSENCE magazine, the premiere lifestyle publication for African American women, is looking for students to complete an unpaid internship for academic credit for fall 07. Candidates must be either in their junior or senior year or a graduate student who has an interest in journalism/communications. Students must have strong writing and organizational skills and have an interest in African American culture. We are looking for interns to “float” between various departments including: entertainment, health, news, food, books and business. We are also looking for interns who have a particular interest in fashion, beauty and graphic art and design. All candidates must be able to receive school credit.
