Joanna Coles of Cosmopolitan and Anne Fulenwider of Marie Claire sure know how to draw a crowd! On Monday, December 3 Ed and his magazine buds gathered at Southern Hospitality to raffle off a chance to meet with each of the editors-in-chief. Editors and interns from publications like The New York Times and Maxim came out to celebrate Ed’s last happy hour of the year.
So who are the lucky whippersnappers who won the raffle? Alex Able, a recent graduate of Binghamton University who works at Seventeen magazine as a prom marketing assistant, and
Alexandra Vucetic, a 2012 grad of Marist College who’s working as a paralegal while trying to break into the mag biz. Congrats! [Ed note: Alexandra left before the raffle, so Ed staffer Yelena Shuster stood in for our traditional and rather cheesy “I won the raffle” photo.]
Thanks to everyone who attended and bought tickets for a good cause: All proceeds from the event go to the 2013 Trust Fund, which provides cash for living in N.Y.C. to unpaid interns each fall, spring, and summer semesters.
