About Ed on Campus at University of Oklahoma

Ed on Campus at The University of Oklahoma was started in 2009. Our goal as a chapter is to promote interest in the magazine industry and careers within it; to meet student needs in preparing for careers in magazine; to provide a forum in which magazine professionals meet with and advise students about work in the magazine industry; and to provide fellowship among students and faculty with interest in magazines.

In the short time that we have been a chapter our members have had internships at Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, The Knot magazine, and Brides of Oklahoma magazine. As a chapter, we have traveled to New York City, Tulsa and Dallas, meeting with several publications including People, Glamour, Parents, and The New York Times T Magazine. We also have video-conferences with multiple magazine editors and guest lectures from alumni and faculty throughout the year. We hope to visit San Francisco in the near future and to make New York City an annual trip.
