Activities
Our club meets once a month for our formal meetings, which often consist of student panels, professional speakers and faculty workshops. We also get together once a month for a social activity, which could range from snacks and crafts to a magazine swap to a movie night.

Trips
Throughout the year, we take trips to visit magazines in St. Louis, Kansas City, New York and Chicago. This is a great opportunity for members to see how magazines work and meet editors. Many members have acquired internships through going on these trips. The tentative schedule is as follows: St. Louis in October, Kansas City in November, New York in February and Chicago in April. Any contacts wiling to host a visit would be appreciated.

Fundraising
Because our trips are quite expensive, our group tries to fundraise as much as possible to help with cost. We are making journalism T-shirts to sell to students, we are having a bake sale, and we are hosting fundraiser nights at a few local restaurants. Any funding help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Oct. 2: Trip to St. Louis to visit St. Louis Magazine, St. Louis Homes and Lifestyles, Alive and Sauce
Oct. 12: Monthly meeting featuring a panel of magazine students who’ve done internships with major magazines, most in New York
Nov. 4: Movie and coffee night at a showing of The September Issue
Nov. 10: Monthly meeting
Nov. TBA: Kansas City trip
