Kristen is the multimedia assistant at Good Housekeeping, where she works on web and video projects. She serves as associate producer on GH’s four hour-long television specials every year and also produces 12 syndicated news segments each month. She found Ed2010 before her junior year through frantic Google searches on how to get a magazine internship. She instantly fell in love and landed her first internship at Ladies’ Home Journal soon after. She also interned at Good Housekeeping and CosmoGirl, which is when she became involved with Ed as a reporter. She landed her job at Good Housekeeping a week before graduation.
3 Things You Should Know: 1. Kristen earned her B.A. at NYU and started the Women in Communications group along with a few classmates. 2. She always thought she wanted to work in print, but then she tried a web internship and fell in love. 3. Her favorite part of her job is the video aspect.
3 Things You Really Didn’t Need to Know: 1. She was a little obsessed with CosmoGirl and interned there for three semesters because she knew nothing could beat it. 2. Her fiance proposed the day that she was speaking at an Ed event. She still made it to the event, and Ed knew about her engagement before her own parents! 3. She’s moved every year for the past 5 years but thinks she might actually renew a lease this year.
