City Chapters Deputy Director
Colleen hails from Wilmington, Delaware - the state of tax-free shopping. She attended Rutgers University and early on had a passion for all things magazines (that and she couldn’t do math to save her life). She jumped on the intern bandwagon after freshman year and landed positions at Delaware Today, Philadelphia STYLE (where she met Ed Events Associate Melissa Ward) and an internship at Fitness magazine, which she got thanks to an Ed Whisper. After graduating she packed up and moved to New York City. She’s worked at Hearst as the Associate Web Editor of RealBeauty.com and now spends her days as the Web Editor at FitnessMagazine.com.
3 things to know: 1. She ran the NYC marathon in 2010 and is brainstorming which city to hit next. 2. She believes productivity can be solely powered by pink Post-Its 3. Though she went to school in New Jersey, she will forever be a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan.
3 things you really didn’t need to know: 1. If there was nothing on this Earth to eat except for string cheese and chocolate, she’d be just fine with that. 2. She has an unhealthy obsession with Lifetime, in particular the Golden Girls. 3. If it was socially acceptable to wear pink tutus everyday, she probably would.
