Emily first found Ed the summer after her sophomore year at Columbia when she decided to make good on her long-time love of magazines and start interning at them. Her first interview was with Chandra and Jess Strul at CosmoGIRL! and Emily wound up with her dream internship there. Afterwards, she liked working with them so much that she joined the Ed staff as a Mentors Associate. She’s since held internships at Interview, Men’s Health, and Parents (with Chandra again!). Emily currently works in the world of teen celebs as an Assistant Editor at TWIST and also helps launch the forthcoming ASME-ED Academy.

3 Things You Might Want to Know:1. Whenever she walks by a Barnes & Noble and doesn’t have anywhere to be, she’ll easily spend 3 or 4 hours reading every new magazine on the stands. 2. She’s a native New Yorker and is convinced that she’ll never leave the city - ever. 3. She met Ariana, her future partner in the Mentors program, and Karen, later her fellow intern at Parents, when they came to be trained as Chandra and Jess’s next interns at CosmoGIRL!

3 Things You Really Didn’t Need to Know:1. She’s a die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan and has been to 12 of his concerts. 2. Until this year she refused to drink water, she’d only drink juice. 3. Her two favorite snack foods are ice cream and pickles—but never together!
