Lauren graduated from Villanova University in 2009, and after a bit of time freelancing for Good Housekeeping, Martha Stewart Living, and This Old House magazines, has now happily landed at Ladies’ Home Journal as an editorial assistant.
3 Things You Might Want to Know: 1. She has a fun blog called In Her Two Shoes, which she’s working on giving bit more TLC. 2. While she majored in communication and journalism in college, her minor was mathematics, so yes, she does in fact understand any numerical jargon she may come across while writing and editing. 3. She’s a beach brat who still lives in New Jersey, and while it’s not ideal, she swears the commute is fine.
3 Things You Really Didn’t Need to Know: 1. She loves food writing, and eagerly makes sure to get her hands on any advance copies of foodie memoirs that come into the office. 2. She has eaten eggs from Martha Stewart’s farm. 3. She tap dances (once in a studio, now mostly around her kitchen).
