Stefania Sainato

Stefania Sainato
Ed on Campus Associate

Stefania will graduate from Pace University in May ‘09 with a double major in English and Communication Studies and a minor in Journalism. She discovered Ed through her favorite journalism professor and fell head over heels for his snappy words of wisdom. Stefania landed an editorial internship at Bene (a magazine about Italian travel, culture, food and design) through Ed’s internship listings and also worked at Maxim before interning for Ed Vice President Cheryl Brody Franklin at CosmoGIRL! Now she is an editorial intern and writer at Celebrations.com, a website dedicated to party ideas and party planning.

Stefania brainstormed the idea for the four-day 2009 Ed on Campus National Conference with fellow CG! intern Karen Snyder. She also started Ed on Campus at Pace, which won the Best New Club award at the University.

Stefania received the Glamour Ruth Whitney Scholarship from New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) in 2008, following in the footsteps of Tammy Tibbetts, the Managing Editor of Ed2010.com.

She’s obsessed with watching movies—the funnier or scarier, the better—and wants to write a screenplay someday. 3. Highlights from her college experience were being on the Today Show and attending the Matrix Awards and The Glamour Women of the Year (GWOTY) Awards.

3 things you didn’t need to know: 1. She’s visited Roberto Cavalli’s showroom, been sprayed at with Spiderman web slingers, interviewed girls everywhere from Lebanon to Louisiana and learned how to make a mean guacamole at her internships. 2. Her on-screen role models are Ugly Betty (she commutes to Manhattan from Brooklyn) and Andy from Devil Wears Prada (scruffy boyfriend, check). 3. Watching the Food Network helps her unwind after a busy day.
