Melissa fell in love with Ed during her senior year at Elizabethtown College when one of Ed’s helpers answered her infinite number of questions about breaking into magazines. After graduating with a major in Communications and a minor in English, she interned at Philadelphia Style magazine and then made the big move to New York City. There, she landed an internship at Maxim.com by attending one of Ed’s happy hours, evidence that Ed really does create success stories. She’s currently an assistant editor at Maxim.com, and before that, was an editorial assistant at Blender.com.
3 things to know: 1. She credits her dad, a magazine distributor, with making her magazine-obsessed. 2. She thinks you can never watch enough Law & Order: SVU. 3. If she wasn’t a magazine editor she’d love to be a fashion stylist.
