Ariana first heard about Ed back in 2006 from Ed’s web director, Christie Griffin. Since she had been cold-calling magazines for internships, she was thrilled about finding the Internships page. She became an official Ed staffer while interning for Chandra Czape Turner at CosmoGirl. After graduating from Hofstra University and freelancing for a little over a year, she finally landed her current job as Associate Editor at Hearst Digital Media.
3 things to know about her: 1. Even though she didn’t wear makeup at the time/never had been in Sephora, her first internship was also at CosmoGirl in the beauty department. (Now she’s obsessed with makeup). 2. After being dead-set on print and having four magazine internships, she ended up in web - and is loving it! 3. She co-heads the 60-Minute Mentors program with staffer, Emily Johnson.
3 things you really didn’t need to know: 1. She enjoys browsing the PINK underwear selection at Victoria’s Secret. 2. She really wants a cat but is allergic. 3. She met her boyfriend after almost writing him up in college! (She was an RA).
