Armed with a degree in magazine journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Katy moved to Kansas City and channeled a lifetime love of writing and a childhood reputation as a "book nerd" into the start of her career. After toiling in retail purgatory during an unpaid internship, she worked for more than two years at The Kansas City Star as a real estate writer and editor of Urban Living, a monthly tab section dedicated to downtown Kansas City. Always in search of the almighty dollar (and clips, of course), Katy worked on the side to build her freelance career. A providential introduction from a friend led Katy to the elusive destination, "The Right Place At The Right Time," and she has been working since the fall of 2007 as editorial director for GateHouse magazine, a regional lifestyle publication that serves Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in the Kansas City metro area. Surely world domination can't be far behind . . .

Andrea is an expert multitasker, one of many talents that has helped her develop and execute four lifestyle magazines and one business journal in three Kansas City-area communities. She has a variety of experience in the marketing and public relations industries, including event planning, advertising and the management of media and political campaigns. She has launched successful PR campaigns in both the public and private sectors.
Aside from mass quantities of high-quality espresso, Andrea attributes her success to her ability to excel in a team environment and in projects that allow her to engage in a leadership role. She is eager to continue promoting innovative ideas and publishing models throughout the industry, and hopes to work internationally in the near future.
