Yelena Galstyan is Syracuse University’s Ed2010 President. She met Ed at Juice Jam freshman year and fell head over heels. Starting off as project coordinator, she has since taken their relationship to the next level.
A local in Syracuse, Yelena had a blast interning for the Voices section of the Post Standard in high school and Green CNY magazine in the summer of 2009. She most recently spent the summer in NYC, interning for Whole Living magazine at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and TheDailyGreen.com at Hearst Digital.
In the spring of 2011, Yelena did a stint in Australia and wrote for the Lost Girls. After falling in love with the country, she’s dead set on moving there post graduation and launching her career in magazines.
Now-a-days, Yelena runs a tight schedule. Besides running from one class to another, she freelances for campus publications such as The Daily Orange, What the Health Mag, Student Voice, and Equal Time. She’s also the Features editor for What the Health. On a good day you can catch Yelena at a yoga class or sipping on a frappuccino in Starbucks, planning her life out to include travel, adventure, and of course, writing.
