Tanner Stransky
Ed on Campus Director

After discovering Ed while interning at Teen People in the summer of 2004, Tanner went back to Drake University for his senior year and established an Ed on Campus chapter there. Upon moving to NYC a year later, he wanted to continue to spread the gospel of Ed, so he began by helping VP Cheryl Franklin grow Ed on Campus across the country. Now, as Director of Ed on Campus, Tanner oversees activities for Ed’s campus chapters, including Virtual Resume Workshops, visits to NYC, and setting up speakers on campus. Email him at tanner@ed2010.com if you're interested in starting an Ed on Campus chapter at your school!

3 Things to Know About Him: 1. Tanner is a correspondent at Entertainment Weekly, but worked at The New York Post and ON DIRECTV in NYC before his current gig. 2. He's from Bonner Springs, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City)—home to randomness like the Agricultural Hall of Fame and the KC Renaissance Festival! 3. Subscriptions to more than 20 magazines fill his mailbox each month!

3 Things You Really Didn't Need to Know: 1. It's Tanner's goal to brunch on eggs benedict at every brunch-ery in the city. 2. '80s music is a secret indulgence: Heart, Michael Jackson, Asia, and—yes—Bon Jovi. Throw Yaz in there, too. 3. He's got three siblings, and they're all one year apart. The best part? Their names: Tyler, Tiffany and Tucker. Add Tanner to that and you've got the 4 T's.
